It’s Time for Block Parties

The block party is a staple of Chicago – you close down a street, you set up some tables and games for the kids, and you hang out with your community.  It really is one of the best parts of this city in the summer and fall.
It’s also a great opportunity for someone who may be running for office, or who is trying to raise awareness of a community issue, to talk to folks.  Bring some snacks and pull up a chair – it’s time to talk to people about what is going on in their neighborhood.
We have been putting together the Block Party list for four years now – and while we don’t have as many Block Parties in 2021 as we did in 2019, it certainly is a lot more than last year when they were prohibited.  We currently have 760 block parties spread across the city.  The list includes the date, description, and a breakdown by Ward, Cook County District, State House District, State Senate District, and Congressional District.  No matter what you may be running for in 2022, there are Block Parties on the list for you.
Depending on your race, the cost for the list is anywhere between $100-$300.  This includes updates to the list every two weeks until the end of September.  If you are a mutual aid group, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to work with you.
Not in Chicago? Reach out to us, and we can work with you on a field consultant basis to build a list for you.
